CONSERVATORY- Bases
All our conservatories have SOLID BUILT CONSERVATORIES BASES and are built to building regulation standards. We do not use kits or raised platforms. A solid base ensures a life long job.

ROOF - Types

Complete Conservatories, Windows and Doors can supply glass or polycarbonate types roof. Our glass roofs are made from SAFETY TOUGHENED, LOW E GLASS ( on both sides).

Polycarbonate roofs can be made from 16 mm, 25mm, or 35 mm. Complete Conservatories, Windows and Doors use 35 mm POLYCARBONATE as standard unless otherwise specified by the customer. It is important to ask your supplier what grade materials they use and it would also be important to ensure it is stated clearly in your contract.

Polycarbonate is the most popular glazing material chosen for conservatory roofs as it is lightweight, durable and exceptionally strong - up to 200 times stronger than glass and virtually shatterproof. All polycarbonate works to lessen the glare and heat from the sun to ensure that your conservatory can be comfortable all year round. A range of polycarbonates are available with a choice of colour, clear, bronze, opal, bronze/ opal and solarguard.

ROOF - Thermal Breaks

When two layers of polycarbonate are used on a roof system, you get a space between the two layers which is called a thermal break. THERMAL BREAKS are a measure of the strenght of the barrier between the outside and the inside. With increased layers of polycarbonate you increase the number of thermal breaks.

For example : a 35mm polycarbonate roof has 7 layers with sub-chambers resulting in 6 thermal breaks. The thickness of the polycarbonate is also a factor in the efficiencies of the thermal breaks.

ROOF - Roof Vents and Trickle Vents

As hot air rises, the roof of conservatories is the first part to heat up. As standard we fit TRICKLE AIR VENTS which remove the hot air that rises preventing the build up of condensation.

We also install manual and automatic roof vents if the customers requires further ventilation.

WINDOWS - Super Spacers

80 % of the energy loss through a window occurs at the edges because of the highly conductive nature of aluminium spacers traditionally used. Super Spacers are 950 times less conductive than aluminium .

All our windows are fitted with SUPER SPACERS which are a non conductive material which virtually eliminates condensation and reduces the energy loss at the edges, by blocking the escape route of the energy.

Using Super Spacers and Low E Glass can help reduce the heat loss by a staggering 94% through your new windows. Less heat loss means lower fuel bills, less energy consumed results in lower carbon emissions and that is good new for the enviroment.

WINDOWS - Glazing Windows

If windows are externally glazed , access to your home can be gained by simply removing the outer beads and removing the panes of glass from the window. We INTERNALLY GLAZED all our windows for extra security.

Most suppliers do internally glaze the windows, but it is still an important point to ensure your contract states this feature.

WINDOWS - Ventilation Locking System

This system allows you to open, the window openings to allow air in and lock it in an open position, to give increase safety levels e.g. at night and is sometimes called a night latch feature.

All windows supplied by Complete Conservatories, Windows and Doors have this VENTILATION LOCKING SYSTEM feature.

WINDOWS - Double Glazed 4C Windows & 3C Windows

All windows supplied by Complete Conservatories, Windows and Doors are DOUBLE GLAZED 28mm. A 3C Window has 3 chambers for an effective level of insulation, 4C Windows offer 4 chambers for increased insulation. All Windows supplied by CompleteConservatories, Windows and Doors are 4C TYPE WINDOWS.
WINDOWS - Argon Filled
Double glazed windows can be filled with ARGON GAS. This increase the efficiency of the window and acts as a thermal break between outside and inside.
GLASS - Toughened Safety Glass
TOUGHENED SAFETY GLASS in the event of an accident will shatter and cause less injury. It won't splinter and crack into sharp shards of glass as with ordinary glass but will shatter into small pieces e.g. like car glass.
GLASS - Low E Glass
This refers to the energy efficiencies of the window. It is now a legal requirement and you should ensure when buying windows that you are supplied with Low E Glass and that you are not charged extra for this legal requirement. All glass we suplied is LOW E GLASS.
CONSERVATORY - Windows
All Conservatory windows are REINFORCED with metal frames for increased strenght.

DOORS

Within our range we have Doors that are maintenance free (uPVC)- so no more painting. Their UV STABILITY has been tested to the equivalent of 10 years exposure to sun-light without showing the slightest discolouration.
